Fruit & Veg Delivery Driver's Assistant

The opportunity

A volunteer is needed to assist our driver in collection and delivery of fruit and vegetables to co-ops, nurseries, schools and events across Hackney.

Duties:
To assist the key driver in their delivery duties.
Loading and unloading of produce at various locations.
To assist co-op volunteers in setting up and taking down the stalls.
To assist in the delivery of boxed produce directly to ELFA's customers in the community.

Hours: by arrangement with the volunteer manager, a minimum of 4 hours per week.

Skills/Qualifications

Essential:

• An interest in healthy eating and the community
• Enjoy working as part of a team
• Presentable and tidy appearance (dress code is comfortable clothing and sensible footwear)
• Reliable
• CRB check and full references will be required

Desirable:

• Good communication slots skills
• Valid UK Driving licence
